Sirubari Village Trek is a beginner 2-3-day homestay/teahouse trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal, reaching 1,700 m. It starts at Pokhara (drive to Sirubari or to road-head + short walk) and ends at Pokhara.

Kathmandu -> Pokhara (tourist bus, 6-8h, paved) -> Sirubari (local bus from Prithvi Chowk toward Karkineta/Badkhola, then jeep or 1-3h walk for the last stretch; ~64 km, ~4h total)

Weather

Views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu ranges from the ridge above the village are best Oct-Dec. Monsoon (Jun-Sep) brings leeches, mist and slippery road/trail; the unpaved final road section can become difficult. Winter is clear and mild at this elevation.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Pokhara to Sirubari, 0-3 h, 1,610 m — Kali Gandaki/Aandhi khola countryside drive, traditional Gurung welcome ceremony with panche baja, slate-roofed stone village lanes, evening cultural show
  2. Day 2: Sirubari to Sirubari (Thumro viewpoint loop), 2-4 h, 1,610 m — Pre-dawn 1.5-2h hike to Thumro Juro viewpoint for sunrise over Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Dhaulagiri; village monastery (gumba), school, weaving; evening Gurung dance program
  3. Day 3: Sirubari to Pokhara, 0-1 h, 820 m — Farewell ceremony with tika and flower garlands; return drive via Syangja bazar
