Tamang Heritage Trail is an easy 5-7-day homestay/teahouse trek in the Langtang region of Nepal, reaching 3,165 m. It starts at Syabrubesi and ends at Syabrubesi.

- Kathmandu (Machhapokhari) → Trishuli → Dhunche → Syabrubesi on the Pasang Lhamu Highway (bus 7-10h, shared jeep 6-7h, private jeep 5-6h) → loop trek returns to Syabrubesi

- Low — the route tops out at Nagthali (3165m) and sleeping altitudes stay below 2650m.
Weather
Low-altitude route stays mostly below 2700m so it is walkable nearly year-round; Nagthali (3165m) can get light snow Dec-Feb. Monsoon brings slippery trails, leeches and road landslides. Spring adds rhododendron bloom around Gatlang and Nagthali.

Itinerary
- Day 1: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, 0 h, 1,460 m — Trishuli valley drive, Ganesh Himal roadside views
- Day 2: Syabrubesi to Gatlang, 6-7 h, 2,238 m — Climb via Rongga Bhanjyang/Bahundanda pass area, Goljung valley, traditional stone-and-timber Tamang village of Gatlang, Parvati Kund lake, Tamang cultural show
- Day 3: Gatlang to Tatopani, 6-7 h, 2,607 m — Descend to Thangbuchet by the Bhote Koshi (Chilime hydropower area), cross and climb to Tatopani ('hot water')
- Day 4: Tatopani to Thuman, 5-6 h, 2,338 m — Climb through mossy forest to Nagthali meadow (3165m, trek high point) — panorama of Langtang Lirung, Kerung and Ganesh Himal; optional Taruche viewpoint (3700m); descend to Buddhist village of Thuman
- Day 5: Thuman to Briddim, 5-6 h, 2,229 m — Descend to Timure on the old Tibet trade route (Rasuwagadhi border fort nearby), then climb to Briddim, a Tibetan-Buddhist Tamang village with a community homestay program
- Day 6: Briddim to Syabrubesi, 3-4 h, 1,460 m — Easy descent through terraced fields to the Bhote Koshi and Syabrubesi
